Sculptra is an injectable formulation of ploly-L-latic acid that is an FDA-approved demal filler. Sculptra is injected into the fat below the skin and stimulates collagen production made by the body. This collagen production is gradual and happens over a period of two months.

Where is Sculptra used?

Sculptra is used as a global facial volumizer designed to change the concavities of the face. The goal of Sculptra is used to give the patient's face the fullness in volume experienced during youth. Sculptra can also be used to provide a non-surgical browlife in patients that have a hollowing of the templates by filling these hollows and raising the lateral eyebrows. Sculptra can also correct depressions of the cheeks (nasojugal grooves), smile lines (nasolabial or melolabial folds), and marionette lines.

How long does Sculptra last? 

Sculptra treatments stimulates your body's natural production of collagen. These improvements may last up to 24 months. 

What are the side effects? 

Patients may sometimes experience slight swelling and/or bruising at the site of injection.

Aftercare instructions

Patients are encouraged to massage the ares of injections for 5 minutes, 5 times per day for 5 days. This step is important because it helps to distribute the product evenly to prevent palpable bumps. Apply cold packs to the injected area for the first 24 hours. Avoid bending, lifiting, or exercise for at leasat one week after the procedure.
